Vibration isolation is an important part of the physical autopilot installation. We have found that wire rope isolators work well for this purpose.
Our uLRC (microLRC) kit even comes with 3 wire rope isolators and an L-bracket mounting kit.
The wire rope isolators we use are the Enidine CR1-300-D and CR1-400-D units. The size and amount depend on the weight to be isolated.
Since the autopilot board itself is so lightweight it is difficult to dampen all vibrations, so putting the autopilot in an enclosure or on a carrier board with other electronics and dampening the larger mass will be more effective.
